HON. ALEXANDER KWAMENA AFENYO-MARKIN IS ENSURING THAT EFFUTU CONSTITUENCY IS WELL RESOURCED IN THE AREA OF HEALTH CARE DELIVERY

Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin has over the period embarked on a series of health interventions, including the building of several CHPS Compounds within the constituency to serve as the first point of call for health care services.

Kojo Beedu, Akosua Village, Wonsom have all benefited from CHPS facilities. Woarabeba and Gyahadze will soon see the completion of their CHPS facility.

A number of pavilions have been constructed for the various health centres for the exclusive use of nurses to aid in the delivery of health service within the communities.

The various expansion works done and those ongoing at the Municipal Hospital is equally worthy of mentioning.

Worthy of mentioning is the donation of some 50 orthopedic hospital beds to the various health institutions in the constituency.

Several motivational packages have been given to both Doctors and nurses in the constituency to boost their morale in discharging their duties. Several doctors and nurses have also benefited from scholarships to further their studies and knowledge in health care delivery.

Even before Effutu experience a COVID-19 case in its jurisdiction, several PPE’s and sanitizers including Veronica buckets and bowls with other accessories have been donated to the Municipal Health Directorate for onward distribution to the various facilities in the constituency by the Hon. Member. These and many others are the steps taken by Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin with his personal funds to combat the novel disease should Effutu report a case.

These interventions and several others that we are unable to mention joined together we believe puts Effutu far ahead as far as preparedness to combat the novel COVID-19 is concern.

Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin indeed is a visionary leader and has the interest and wellbeing of the good people of Effutu at heart.

Let us all adhere strictly to all proposed precautionary measures; washing our hands under running water, using alcohol based hand Sanitizer as often as possible and most importantly keeping social distancing. “This too shall pass”
