HON. REX ASANGA LEADS NDA AND ENGINEERS TO HAND OVER SITES

NPP Parliamentary candidate for Bolga central Hon.Rex Asanga together with the Zonal Coordinator for Northern Development Authority (NDA), the project consultant.

The Municipal Engineer and his team embarked on a constituency tour yesterday to hand over sites for commencement of construction works on new CHP compounds.

Some dilapidated school infrastructure and Heath facilities will be given a facelift through renovations, expansion works and furnishing .

Prior to 2016 electioneering campaigns, President Nana Addo made a promise of one million dollar per constituency to meet critical infrastructure needs at the constituency level.

Upon the President’s assumption of power, Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) was empowered as the main vehicle to champion need identification assessment of every constituency in the Upper East Region.

It is worth announcing that Hon. Rex Asanga was the leader of the 10 member committee of IPEP in the Region to collate and prioritize each constituency and it’s specific infrastructure needs for financial allocations.

It’s refreshing to note that traditional leaders, Chiefs and other stakeholders welcome this development cause and promised their full support for successful execution and completion.

The communities expressed their gratitude to His Excellency the President and thanked Hon. Rex for leading such a noble intervention. Hon. Rex appealed to the youth to advantage of these projects to earn a living since their services will be needed. He continuously reminded them about Covid-19 and urged them to watch precautionary measures particularly frequent hand washing to be safe.

The contractors will be moving to site to commence work and it’s obvious the completion of these projects will close the conspicuous infrastructure deficit in the constituencies particularly Bolgatanga central.
