I’ll make Upper East region an NPP stronghold – Akufo-Addo vows

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised to work assiduously with the hope of making the Upper East Region a New Patriotic Party (NPP) stronghold before he leaves office.

He acknowledges that it will not be an easy ride considering the fact that the party has never won in the region.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo made this known when he spoke to Bolgatanga-based URA Radio in an interview.

“It’s one of the perfect rounds for my party. Whenever I come here I feel very very encouraged. We want to make the Upper East another NPP stronghold. It’s not going to be easy but you have to put your best foot forward to be able to make that possible.”

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the last election won just a single seat in the Upper East Region.
